The West Zone Shamrocks are one of six regional zones operating under the Red River Lacrosse Association (formerly Winnipeg Minor Lacrosse). RRLA operates under the Manitoba Lacrosse Association umbrella and is responsible for the operation of "box" lacrosse in the Winnipeg / Selkirk region.
What Can Lacrosse Do For You?
In addition to being Canada’s National Summer
Sport, lacrosse is also known as “the fastest game on two feet”. Kids
come to love the game’s fast pace and positive competition. It is a
great sport to improve or maintain fitness level and hand-eye
coordination. Its short season does not interfere with summer holidays.
We still need coaches for the Bantam B team, the midget team and the Junior team. Anyone who wishes to coach one of these teams, this skills camp is a perfect opportunity to begin working with you're team. Also, after the end of next week when the skills camp is over, all teams will begin practicing outdoors. I will have the practice schedule out as soon as the RRLA posts the league schedule.
